Memorial Labyrinth Garden
Our Memorial Labyrinth Garden was created and then dedicated in May 2018. The garden is an offering to our community that provides a sacred place for spiritual rest and renewal, regardless of your religious affiliation. Our labyrinth is a modified version of the one within the Chartres Cathedral in France. It is 24 feet in diameter, with a ten feet circle of grass and then surrounding walkway to our Tree-of Life Memorial Wall.
In these days of instant communication and constant schedule driven commitments, we find we have a craving for spiritual renewal. Walking the labyrinth helps us see our lives in the context of a path, or a pilgrimage. It helps us realize we are not human beings on a spiritual path but spiritual beings on a human path.
The garden centerpiece is a tree-of-life memorial wall with 200 leaves that can be engraved as dedications in memory of loved ones or in celebration of major life events. The Tree-of-Life Sculpture was generously donated by the Ladies Guild.
Everyone is welcome and our Memorial Labyrinth Garden is always open.
