Regular services are broadcast each Sunday on Facebook Live and on our YouTube channel. The 10:30 AM service of Holy Eucharist which includes a children’s message is held live in our nave. Concurrent with service is a short Sunday school time. Service lasts about one hour. Coffee hour is held in the undercroft after service every other Sunday. No RSVP is required. St. Bartholomew’s is handicap accessible. There is a wheelchair-capable elevator on the south (right) side of the church near the front. Handicap parking is available on both sides of the church building. We hope that you will visit us soon. If you have questions, please call the church office at: 301-355-7189. We look forward to meeting you at St. Bartholomew’s!

After our 10:30 Sunday service parishioners, visitors, and friends gather in the Undercroft for coffee, snacks, and fellowship. This is a great time to get to know the people we worship with, share ideas, and have fun talking together. Whether you are new to the parish or have been coming for years, be sure to stop by after the service. Fellowship coffee hours are hosted by a parishioner. If you wish to host, contact Victoria Cross at

The role of usher, which includes greeting parishioners and visitors is a crucial part of worship. The usher is the first person who will greet them and will make them feel welcome and at home. It is one of the most visible ministries in the church. If interested in serving as an Usher, please call us at 301-355-7189 or email

Licensed and trained chalice bearers assist the celebrant at Sunday morning worship. Volunteers are always welcome.

The Lectors are member of the congregation who are assigned to read the lessons and psalms at worship services. If interested in serving as a Reader please let us know, call 301-355-7189 or send an e-mail to

St. Bartholomew’s is currently offering one Sunday morning worship service at 10:30 AM. On most Sundays, this is a service of Holy Eucharist, Rite II. During the season of Lent we offered Rite l Holy Eucharist. On occasion we offer a service of Morning Prayer in place of Holy Eucharist.

The St. Bartholomew’s choir, under the direction of Music Director Lauren Fisher, sings at our Sunday 10:30 AM worship service.

During the season of Lent this year we offered Rite l Holy Eucharist on Sunday mornings and Reverend Jo-Ann led a mid-week Compline service on Zoom. On Good Friday Lauren Fisher presented a stunningly beautiful Tenebrae service.

Holy Baptism is offered as requested. The Diocese of Washington offers an annual service of Confirmation, Reception, and Reaffirmation of Baptismal Vows. This year that service took place at the Washington Nation Cathedral in May. St. Bartholomew’s presented two candidates, one for Confirmation and one for Reception.

We welcome visitors and parishioners to join us online at the 10:30 service. Scroll down for service streams. Recordings are available for on-demand viewing beginning Sunday afternoon (for morning services) on our website. All service live streams are simulcasted to our Facebook page and YouTube channel.
