To Our Neighbors in Laytonsville and Surrounding Areas
St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church is a local church that is deeply rooted in this community, having been here for over 200 years.
For families with children, we have a rich Sunday School that explores current topics such as bullying, friendships, and family, all within the context of the love of Jesus for each of us. For tweens and teens, we join with three other Northern Montgomery County Episcopal churches in a regional Youth Group. This collaboration allows our young adults to participate in a wide range of outreach and justice seeking community service projects and fun-filled trips.
Our Memorial Garden and Labyrinth is a place of peace, prayer, and remembering those who have gone before us. It is always open to anyone who needs a quiet space in this very busy and often turbulent time in which we live.
At the present time we are undergoing a transition as we search for a permanent rector. This is an exciting time of discernment at St. Bartholomew’s. We continue our commitment to worship, education, fellowship, justice, and outreach, as we prepare for our future. Our times are in God’s hands and we rejoice in thanksgiving for 200 years of blessings.
Rev. Jo-Ann R. Murphy, D. Min., Interim Rector
