I have been a member of St. Bartholomew’s Church since 1984 (almost 35 years). We began attending church here after moving to the town of Laytonsville following my job transfer with IBM. Although raised as a Methodist, I was confirmed as an Episcopalian by Father Bonbrest in 1986. Over the last 35 years, I have been a member of various ministries and activities including Sunday School, Prayer Beads, Altar Guild, Thrift Shop, and others. Since my retirement as Business Development Director for Lockheed Martin in 2011, I participated on the Bicentennial Celebration Committee where I gained a strong appreciation for the wonderful legacy of our church. Over the past 18 months, I was the coordinator for the Memorial Garden Committee with a focus on honoring our past while positioning to expand our community offerings for the future. Our church is very important to our family as we enjoy our grandchildren now attending services. If elected, I commit to work hard to sustain and enhance the health of our church as a place of fellowship and worship that is welcoming to everyone.
