Lauren Fisher

Choir Director/Organist

Lauren Fisher has been a member of St. Bartholomew’s for 20 years. Prior to being appointed as director of music in May 2009, she served as a choir member, junior choir director, supply organist, and summer Sunday school teacher. She has also served as a member of the Vestry. Lauren holds two degrees in music education, a B.M. with a piano concentrate from Susquehanna University and an M.A. from the Eastman School of Music. She is currently employed as an elementary vocal music teacher in the Prince George’s county public school system. In addition to teaching general music classes to students in grades Pre-K through 5, Lauren co-sponsors drama club and recorder club as extracurricular activities. When she is not teaching or directing the St. Bartholomew’s choir, Lauren enjoys reading, writing, composing music, and ice-skating.

Lauren was appointed Organist in October 2015.
