Stewardship:

What I do, with all that I have, after I say,"I  believe."

"…being a good steward is nothing more than being a good Christian."

Stewardship.

Now is the time.

Now is the time when our children are back in Sunday School, our choir is back from having the summer off, our new Boutique is up and running, and everyone is looking forward to another good year here at St. Bartholomew’s.

And, now is also the time to think about stewardship.  Pledging, tithing, time, talent and treasure. You’ve heard it all before,  but your stewardship is what keeps this church going.  Our rector, Rev. Linda Calkins is committed to this church, to this congregation, and under her guidance this church is thriving.  But it takes all of us, together, to keep thriving and moving forward.  It takes our time, our talents, and our treasure.  Included with this letter is a list of all the opportunities for all of us to be a part of this church and help it thrive.

So, now is the time to open up our hearts, minds and wallets to use the gifts God has given us to do the work God is calling us to do.  Now is the time.

Do you pay your bills or do your banking online?  Why not consider setting up an automatic payment plan for your pledge payments through your bank or your online bill paying system.  If you are interested but don’t know how to go about doing this, please call the church office and let us know that you are interested and we can set up a training session.  More information on this will follow at a later time.

Please review the Guide to Giving page and after careful thought, consideration and prayer decide what time, talent and treasure you can offer St. Bartholomew’s.   When you have completed filling out your pledge card please drop it in the offering plate or mail it back to the church no later than November 23, 2014.  Thank you.

Respectfully,

Anne Wasson and Lois Leigh
